A Two-Person Photography Team

Christopher and Rachel are a two-person photography team specializing in wedding photojournalism and creative portraits.
Friends for over 10 years, they developed skills as photographers and came together forming First Blush Photos in 2008.
The name "First Blush" came about because it expressed different aspects of their photography they hope to capture, the first blush of a new life, the first blush of love, etc. Also, it holds the meaning of sunrise, one of the "golden" times of the day to capture ideal light for photographs.
Though many projects they work on separately, for weddings, they commonly travel to come together to give the bride and groom full coverage of the day.
Rachel is based out of western Pennsylvania where she lives with her husband Josh and three daughters, Elinor, Daisy, and Annette. She has had her photographs displayed at The Next Picture Show in Dixon, IL and has won awards in the Cranberry Art Festival in Cranberry, PA.
Christopher is based out of northern IL and has worked with photography and film for 10 years. For 5 of those years he worked at various newspapers as a photojournalist and videographer, winning 17 photojournalism awards, from NINA, IPA, and AP.
He also has a Bachelor's degree in Film and Video from Columbia College of Chicago.
